$50 Fee for No Show or Late Cancellation
Beginning May 1, 2023, a $50 fee will be charged for a no-show appointment or late cancellation of a scheduled appointment.
The $50 fee may be charged within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment.
If you cancel your appointment early, we can open the schedule for someone else in need.
Also, note that late arrivals for an appointment are subject to be rescheduled.

Our goal has always been to provide you with the highest quality of care. Through Primary Care First, we will receive additional resources from Medicare and other health insurance companies to help us enhance our work and provide you with the best quality, patient–centered care.

As part of this program, Medicare will start sharing some of your personal health information with us, such as when you receive care at hospitals, emergency departments, and specialist offices. This will help provide a more complete picture of your health and allow us to coordinate your care better.
If you want to stop Medicare from sharing this information, call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800–633–4227). TTY users should call 1-877–486–2048.
Your Medicare benefits are not changing, and this program only aims to enhance the healthcare you receive at Mark A. Ramiro, MD, PA; you still have the right to use or visit any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare at any time. Your doctor may continue recommending that you see particular doctors for your specific health needs, but it is always your choice which doctors you use or hospital you visit.

We Now Offer Mobile Check-in!
We’re excited to now offer mobile check-in! Please look for an email/text message a few days before your appointment from Elation, our new check-in system, which will allow you to register for your appointment from home and at your convenience. It will also allow you to complete additional health questions and screeners that are useful for your visit with our providers.
Call Us First!
- You can call for medical advice at any time of the day or night. If we are closed, please call our after-hours cell number 870-872-9499.
- If you are a current, established patient, we offer same-day or next-day appointments for urgent issues. If your provider is out of the office, our nurse practitioner and an on-call physician are available.
- We have lab and x-ray services here in the office. Save yourself an expensive ER bill and find out if it is a break or just a sprain here at WHFM. We can also test for strep and flu.
- Some insurance companies make you pay more out of pocket if you go to an urgent care clinic instead of your primary care clinic.
